The Communicator - May 2005
Who would have thought we would have to deal with snow during our Earth Day cel-
ebration this year? Although we had a number of wonderful activities planned for
April 23
rd
, several had to be canceled. However, our Alternative Vehicle Show was still
held and generated a lot of interest in alternative energy driven cars. A few brave
market vendors ignored the sleet and snow and set up tents outside. And the Simply
Living Community Dinner fundraiser was also well attended.
Earth Day Celebration on April 23
Crumbs Bakery set up a table with their sample
products in the market.
Kevin Eigel offered Asparagus and Shitake mushrooms from
his farm.
Anne Blatherwick and Chuck Lynd, dressed for the winter-like
weather, visit the market on their way to the Simply Living
Community Dinner Fundraiser.
There were several hybrid cars showcased at the Alternative
Vehicle Show.
