Clintonville Community Market
(continued on page 16)
Mark your calendars, save the date and rest up, people! On Saturday February 26
th
you are cordially
invited to a spectacular evening of live music, great food, tasty beverages and most importantly
COMMUNITY!!! You may even win a brand new digital camera! Read on for details!
This year's annual celebration to benefit Clintonville Community Mar-
ket will take place from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Columbus Music
Hall, located at 734 Oak Street in downtown Columbus. All proceeds
raised from the event will benefit the upgrading of market equipment,
specifically going towards two new produce coolers and one walk-in
cooler unit for our retail space. Our last benefit was a smashing
success and the community helped the market raise almost $1,000
that was used for electrical equipment upgrades. This year we hope
to top that amount, so come meet your market members, vendors, friends and neighbors for a long
night of community building. Remember members you own this store!
The musical lineup features sounds from the Bug Hounds, an extraordinary local band of six playing
original compositions and over-the-top covers from the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Jimmy Buffet,
Bob Dylan, David Bowie and more. Jazz and R&B players Michael Maher and The Band of Brothers
is also on tap, along with the Intermittent Animals.
Once again, the menu will feature fresh hot pizza, CCM organic deli trays, baked goods and coffee.
Choice microbrew will be on tap , in addition to a cash bar.
A raffle will take place during the evening, and one lucky winner will take home a digital camera
package featuring a brand new digital camera and other goodies. Other raffle winners will take home
cool prizes donated from local merchants, including 1-hour massages, CCM gift certificates, movie
passes, dinner passes and much more! Presale raffle tickets are available for purchase at the front
registers in the market for $2 each. Winners do not have to be present to win any of the fabulous
prizes, as we will contact you following the event.
Presale benefit tickets are also available for purchase at the front registers of the market. There are
two levels of admission: general admission and special donors. General admission will cover the cost
of attendance at different levels. Special donors are those individuals who will be giving above the
normal cost of attendance, and will be honored in the March issue of our newsletter, the Communica-
tor.
Remember, special donors who give $50 or more receive all the benefits of the evening for the donor
and a guest, including admission for two, music, food and beverages including beer if you choose,
and also a one-year membership to our market with discounts every time you shop!
